Is Doyles the most famous fish restuarant in the world? Well certainly in Australia. I would live to hear you stories and reviews of other great fish restaurants not matter how basic or exclusive. Doyles is great but perhaps I am just seduced by the Sydney harbour views. The image below is from Doyles themselves and is not untypical of an evening view from your table. tting outside.

The Doyle family first opened their doors in Watsons Bay in 1885 and I think have passed the business down through five generations. They have now expanded the business and and the brand operates in three different Sydney location.
Doyles has a regular fish and shellfish selection from the region featuring the following regular choices;
Atlantic Salmon Barramundi Blackfish (Luderick)
Yellowtail Bream Flathead Flounder
Gemfish Jewfish (Mulloway) John Dory
Kingfish Leatherjacket Mackerel
Mullet Pearl Perch Redfish (Nannygai)
Sardines Snapper Trout
Whiting Yellowfin Tuna
Balmain bugs Crab King Prawns
Lobster Mussels Octopus
Oysters Scampi Scallops
Squid
I think you can get tomato ketchup is you ask for it, but I have never been brave enough!
During my time living in Sydney, by far the most satisfying and interesting place I lived in was Manly.
A 10 mile ferry ride each way to Circular Quay was always a great way to get to and from the office every day. Always different, no two journey's were ever the same.
